Over the years we have developed several trainings with our partners and customers. Because of the generic character of these trainings we have now made some of them available for open subcription. Below you can find some example trainings:

Capacity Management

Capacity management is the basis for project and portfolio management. It involves allocating resources to projects, managing supply and demand, and making sure there is sufficient capacity for future work. Training in this area involves clarification of the process, responsibilities, and terminology, as well as the tooling that supports this.

Project Based Working

This is a hands-on soft and hard skills training that covers the main principles of project based working, from team work, communication, and leadership skills to techniques such as planning, scheduling, and controlling a project. This training can be combined with an active team building activity where project based principles are applied in practice.

Project Scheduling with Open Workbench

Open Workbench (OWB) is a project scheduling tool where the entire planning and control cycle can be tackled. The power of OWB is that it has been developed from years of project management experience and incorporates much of the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) into its functionality. OWB can be used stand alone, or in combination with Clarity. OWB training courses go through the entire planning and control cycle based on a user case and can include interaction with Clarity.

Project Scheduling with Microsoft Project

Microsoft Project (MSP) is a popular project scheduling tool. Its strength lies in that it is a Microsoft product and as such interacts easliy with other Microsoft applications. MSP can be used stand alone, or in combination with Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM), CA Clarity PPM, or Compuware Changepoint. The MSP training course concentrates on using MSP in an effective and efficient way and can include interaction with a PPM application.

Project Management Techniques

Project Management Techniques (PMT) is a hard skills training that goes through all the steps of the planning and control cycle, so typical activities of a project manager. The PMT training can enhanced with the use of a specific project scheduling tool (OWB or MSP).

Earned Value Management

Earned Value Management (EVM) is an advanced project management technique that provides insight to the status of a project (as far as time and cost). The EVM Training consists of the principles, terminology, and application of this technique and can include the use of a PPM and/or project scheduling tool.
