"Improving Project Management" was the fundamental layer during the creation of Odysseus Group more than 10 years ago. And still, after a decade there is room for improvement in the world of projects. 

During the start-up of the company, the founding partners were working as consultants in project environments. Implementing Project Management software and supporting Project Managers was the need of the nineties due to the growth of IT and the Y2K and Euro initiatives.

No specialized consultancy firm was active and focused on the Project Management function. The idea was born; set up an independent consultancy firm with specific emphasis on "Improving Project Management". The selection and introduction of planning software and Project Management applications was new, most wanted and the key differentiator of the first years in rendering our services through customers.

Over the past years, the customer base increased rapidly and our products and services catalogue further matured and can now be divided into two main streams. The Project organization and Project Management professionals.

Nowadays the introduction or further professionalization of Project and Portfolio Management is increasingly demanding. Odysseus is still independent and privately owned and has become the thought leader in the Netherlands for PPM. Following the Open Innovation Principles and cooperating together with PPM analysts, alliance partners and software vendors.
