June 1, 2010: IPMA Annual Conference Riding the Dragon Project Portfolio Management
On Tuesday, June 1, the 7th edition of the IPMA PPM Annual Conference will take place. Several disciplines such Research, Product Development, ICT, Project Development and Sustainability are handled, including examples of areas where projects influence the strategy and success of your organization. How realistic are your goals and can PPM contribute to realizing them? Which factors lead to the acceleration, continuation or to (prematurely) killing projects and programs in these diverse portfolios? How do we balance the dimensions 'projects' and 'business'. Hence, "Riding the Dragon": the ultimate challenge to control the uncontrollable.
Keynote by Dr. Michael Menke
Dr. Michael Menke is a PPM expert with focus on the beginning of the 'Value Creation Chain': the identification, evaluation, selection and acquisition of those projects with the highest added value. He matches external complexity to the composition of the (internal) Project Portfolio thus addressing the main issue in PPM: "Are we doing the right projects?"
For more information on speakers and sessions, see the website of the IPMA PPM Annual Conference.
